men and women fallen
from heights previously unimagined, but again
what have we imagined as men
that hasn’t been imagined by an eight-year-old.
Still, I don’t even think an eight-year-old
could’ve seen this scene in dreams: It seems
seven men and women were trying for heaven, and then….
